Some people might believe a bartending job is a walk in the park, to some, they think “is it not just to pour drinks into a cup?” but it goes beyond that.

Great Bartenders have a recipe for more than drinks.

Just like you train to be a chef, professional bartenders learn the art of mixology, pouring, or creating a fresh drink that goes beyond mixing and pouring but creates a haven for customers to enjoy.

Bartenders read the mood and body language of whoever they are serving to know when they either need company or want to be left alone to enjoy their drink. As a service provider, bartenders know how to manage the crowd by deftly concocting drinks, handing out house specialties, douse rising tension among customers, and still being professional while at it.

I’m very proud of what I do and how I do it.

The Barman… a poem (maybe I’ll do a haiku next time…)

I am the last Barman poet.

I see America drinking the fabulous cocktails I make.

Americans getting stinky on something I stir or shake.

The sex on the beach, the schnapps made from peach,

The Velvet Hammer, the Alabama Slamma!

I make things with juice and froth: the Pink Squirrel, the 3-Toed Sloth.

I make drinks so sweet and snazzy: The Iced Tea, The Kamikaze, The Orgasm, The Death Spasm, The Singapore Sling, The Dingaling.

America you’ve just been devoted to every flavor I got.

But if you want to get loaded, why don’t you just order a shot?

Bar is open.
